Berten extraction forceps Fig.18 are used in tooth extraction procedures. Berten’s extraction forceps for upper left molars are composed of two levers and beaks. The levers constitute a handle, which is corrugated on the outside to ensure better grip in the hand. The beaks are the actual part – they are used to embrace and grip the tooth crown or root. Berten’s root forceps are also called anatomical forceps, which means that different types of forceps are designed for each type of tooth and dental arch.
